No, it is not a newly discovered illegal substance, or an Amazon product you order online…. It comes from a kitten. You know, those warm, cute, soft l ittle things with knives attached to their toes. Kittens mew, meow and scream, but they also purrrrr. The sweetest sound i n the world to me i s a baby kitten’s soft purr…
Purr
Description
A purr i s a tonal fluttering sound made by some species of felids and two species of genets. It varies i n loudness and tone among species and i n the same animal. Felids are a family of mammals that belong to the order Carnivora and are in formally known as cats.

I can not express my feelings of a k itten’s purr i n j ust one word. I feel; happiness, warmth, love,trust, mothering, security, oh, the list goes on.
Other animals besides cats can purr – i ncluding hyenas, mongooses, guinea pigs, raccoons, genets and civets. Some big cats cannot purr, but i nstead roar. Those that roar, do not purr (lions and tigers). Those that purr, do not roar
(bobcats and mountain l ions).
Animals purr for a variety of reasons i ncluding to express happiness, or fear and as a defense mechanism. It has also been shown that cats purr to manage pain and soothe themselves. Purring i s a soft buzzing sound, similar to a rolled 'r' with a fundamental frequency of around 25 Hz. This sound occurs with noticeable vibrations on the surface of the body, varies i n a rhythmic pattern during breathing and occurs continuously during inhalation and exhalation. I am one of the lucky ones, you see, I get to enjoy K itten’s Purr on a daily basis… I foster baby kittens, I can enjoy the soothing sounds of Kitten purrs several times a day...in fact, I do, I do enjoy them, and yes, several times a day. I am addicted to ‘ Kitten’s purr’ .
